We are lucky in Victoria to have a number of great rivers and lakes between one to two hours drive from Melbourne. There are many fishing options on my local rivers in the Otways, then also in North East Victoria, Gippsland and the Western Districts.

There are so many opportunities to fish some of Victoria’s lakes that hold good populations of trout and salmon. These lakes can be fished from the bank or boat and fish well from Autumn through until the end of Spring. They are a great option through winter whilst the rivers are closed.
